Complete first-owner bootstrap and make the initial platform configuration decisions.
AuthOS release 0.8.2
Latest-only documentation
Use this guide after installation to establish platform-owner access and review the initial organization, application, and delivery settings. It does not install AuthOS or a framework package.
Prerequisites
- An AuthOS instance whose
/health/readycheck succeeds - The one-time bootstrap login link printed during installation
- Authority to become and act as the initial platform owner
- The public base URL and allowed origins planned for the environment
Complete initial setup
- Open the one-time bootstrap link and finish platform-owner setup in the embedded lite workspace.
- Confirm the AuthOS base URL and the public origins that applications will use. Production values must reflect the external URL, not a private host-only address.
- Review the demo organization and demo application. Rename, replace, or remove them according to the environment’s purpose before issuing production credentials.
- Configure Email before enabling hosted sign-up, email verification, password reset, invitations, or magic-link sign-in.
- Leave Billing disabled unless you are ready to connect and operate the selected billing provider.
- Record who owns platform access, where operational secrets are stored, and which deployment and recovery checks remain before production use.
Completion check
- The initial platform owner can sign in without reusing the bootstrap link.
- The intended organization and application are visible in the lite workspace.
- Base URL and origin choices match the environment.
- Email-dependent flows remain disabled until Email is configured and tested.
- Billing is either deliberately disabled or configured for the intended provider.
